I kind of like the look of Louis better, BUT would prob pronounce Lou ee. Lewis is much more clear and it is also nice. xo

I would pronounce them both Lu-wis even though the spelling of Louis is traditionally pronounced Lou-ee.

I know people with both spellings and both are pronounced Lu-wis.

I prefer the spelling of Lewis.

Much prefer the look of LOUIS

Lewis always reminds me of the very old comedian Jerry Lewis (i think he is still about ?? )

Louis- as most seem to know is traditionally pronounced Looee (it's French... many French kings named Louis) but I really like the name Louis as in Loo ee... I know that in Aust many people also pornounce Louis like Lewis.
I agree that Louis looks better than Lewis.

If you like the look of Louis, but the sound of Lewis, how about Luis?

When I first saw Louis in your post I immediately thought it would sound like Louis.

I like the spelling of Lewis more... I think "Lewis" looks a little more "modern" if you will rather than Louis.

FWIW... everyone will have an opinion on bubs name regardless!! So go with your faves

Me too... dilemma! I would also pronounce Louis - Loo-ee, but Lewis as Lewis...

Maybe you could spell it Luis?
    The meaning is Famous Warrior
    The origin is Spanish
    Notes: a form of Louis
Luis - Origin and Meaning of the name Luis at BabyNames.com

That way people will pronounce it as it's written, because it looks a little different to the "original" ways of spelling it?

I would pronounce Luis as lew-eece not Lewis.
I prefer the Louis spelling as well, people will get used to the pronunciation, lots of people pronounce names differently than whats traditional.
