Question At home sleep help in Melbourne

    Hi girls
After 3 failed attempts to go to the O'Connell Family Centre for help with Angus's persistent night waking (one of us has got sick each time), we've decided to try to get someone in to help us at home. We're looking for someone who does NOT use a CC/CIO approach. I'm currently thinking about Pinky, Katie Shafar (Positive Parenting Services) and Early Parent and Infant Consultants.

Has anyone got any recommendations for sleep help for a nearly 2yo? We've been at the end of our tether for quite some time, only hanging in as we had bookings for O'Connell, only to have it fall through each time.

    TIA!

Hello! I was going to suggest Pinky, her recent book Toddler Tactics covers that age group so she might have some suggestions.
From personal experience with a almost three year old who has only just been night weaned and is beginning to sleep through, we found having a single bed next to our queen was the easier solution to regular night waking. Our son was getting a bit to big to snuggle in between us and to some extent I think our movement also woke him a little.
    All the best!

I'd go for Pinky's books, she is inundated with work at the moment and prioritises newborns, definitely grab toddler tactics, science of parenting... both will help.

Thanks girls. Got Pinky's books plus NCSS for Toddlers but feel like I need to talk it through with someone as we haven't been able to get anywhere or things just change all the time, leaving me even more confused. At least all his teeth are thru now so I know it's not that.
