If we have a boy next time there is no issue with names. A few years back I mentioned to DH that I quite liked Brock for a boys name and he pounced on it straight away (I'm sure because of peter brock )
We cannot agree on any girls names though, although we both like Chelsi but worry that it's too similar to Charli.
Sooo, does Charli & Chelsi sound cute together or just downright ridiculous???
I think they sound very cute...but.... on a practical level it might be a mouthful on a day to day basis. I have Isabelle and Elizabeth - Belle and Beth and I'm always stumbling over each one!
I don't think they're too close though I agree it would be better to spell Chelsea that way. I sort of want to steer away from M names for our next one yet think of them all the time and think they sound cute together.
Hmm, point taken on the spelling. Chelsea IS probably a better way of spelling it.
We do like Olivia as well but I worry that Charli and Olivia are too different because Charli is quite a casual funky name and Olivia we think is more sophisticated. Do you think this would matter?
Charli and Chelsi are too close, but Charli and Chelsea aren't.
I think Olivia is fine with Charli- siblings' names don't have to 'match' in my opinion. If Olivia sounds too formal next to Charli, what about using Olive instead? I think it's cute and a little bit more casual sounding.
i go with the rule of thumb that if you like then what does it matter what other ppl think.
all my kids names end with a ee sound and i dont care what ppl think i like it and both my boys have names starting with j ending with ee sounds.
I ABO****ELY love Charli (because it's my daughter's name too). We're also currently pregnant, and our name for our next bub, if it's a girl, is Chloe... so I guess you could say that Charli and Chloe are too similar, but I love them both, so I don't care.
I think Charli and Chelsi are very cute together! Olivia's gorgeous too. And Brock for a boy is really cool (we're thinking Conrad if our's is a boy)! Goodluck with your pregnancy!!
I think its ok, but I would spell Chelsie like that- with an extra 'e' (if you prefer it to the Chelsea version), so that it looks different when next to Charli.
I think they will complement each other better if they look slightly different on paper.
