4D scan before 30 weeks

I was going to have my 4D scan at 30 weeks but i really can't wait that long to determine the gender 100%. Does bub have enough fat on them to get good face pics at around 28 weeks?

We had a 4d done at 28 weeks for Kanes clefting......

And we seen EVERYTHING!!! It showed us exactly how Kane looked, all the details.....

Where i go they asked me to wait until 33 weeks due to my 'maternal features' ie FAT bum!

By generally they like to wait until 28-30 weeks for best pics!

Early View suggests no earlier than 28 weeks for best results. I had ours at 29 weeks and they were fantastic. My little man has the chubbiest cheeks already, oh and the cutest nose and lips. I am in LOVE!

Hi there,

We had a 34 week scan yesterday for gestational diabetes (to make sure Baby is not too enormous) and when my lovely scanning lady flicked over to 3d/ 4d, baby had it's plump little hand covering it's face, and wouldn't move it, even with some serious prodding, so we missed out again! Last time (20 weeks) it was facing into the placenta, and wouldn't move. I have one very shy baby!

Well we have it booked for this Saturday. I'll be 27+6 weeks and bub is pretty big already so should be fine. I can't wait!

I have mine this Saturday ill be 30+6 weeks im super excited. Im just a little worried cuz i dont want to know the sex and im scared that we will see it......... they can avoid the area cant they??

This is something I'm worried about too! We really don't want to find out the sex before he or she is born as it would be such a waste to have gone this long and then find out right before the end!

where can you get the 4d scans done in melb? what sort of cost are you looking at?

Dee im getting mine through Early Image

Rainbow and Brunette, generally 4D scans focus on the face....just tell the sonographer you dont want to see gender at all so they can avoid it

You just recently saw my 3D/4D pics of our bub at 28.5 weeks!!! And you saw how clear the face and pictures are!!!!
I loved my scan so glad i got it done at that stage

look at that beautiful face just below you in my ticker
