Bubby born before 14th but not enrolled, are we entiled to $1000 bonus.

My bub was born on 30th Sept 08, but we didn't lodge for baby bonus, family assistance etc etc until after this date. Are we entitled to the bonus?

I'm not 100% certain, but I think all payments are backdated to date of birth, so you should!!....

yup - all ftb entitlement is backdated - you have up to six months to register - given that, if you opted to claim ftba when you registered for baby bonus, you should get the payment in december. if you opted to wait until the end of fin year to get your ftb, you may have to wait til then...

To receive the $1000 payment you had to be FTBA current for baby on the 14th october. In your case your $1000 will be paid at the end of the financial year for baby.

Thanks everyone for your advise,
I still a bit confused, we recieve FTBAandB fortnightly and got the baby bonus in one lump sum. Does this mean we will get it when we recieve our fornightly payment in Dec or will we recieve it at the end of the financial year?
