hiring slings/carriers

just wondering if anyone knows of somone/where that hires out carriers?
id love a pikkolo to use for a few months whilst bubs is small then use my ergo (which is currently on loan to someone) but there just so expensive to buy now. so was wondering if this sort of thin exists

HIre for Baby only do Baby Bjorns hun not sure if there are any other places liek this t hough. COuld you get someone to make you one? There are lots of patterns for Mei Teis online and they are easy to make and the fabric would ony cost around $30.....mine is nearly done!

Sometimes physios hire out baby slings.
Mine hires out hug a bub slings a week at a time.
Maybe check around locally?

If you join google group baby carriers downunder, they have a lending library, though I think it's only a few weeks at a time, so I don't know if that will help...you might pick up a second hand one there though...

If I keep favouring our BabyHawk over the Pikkolo, you might be able to borrow mine, but it's hard to tell...sorry, that's not very helpful is it.

Is there a reason you don't want to use your ergo from birth? I used mine with DD#2 right from the start and it was brilliant.

Otherwise, I have only seen baby bjorns for hire too - nothing like huge advertising dollars to convince the majority of the market there are no other baby carriers out there!
