    PCOS and TTC #2

    Hi everyone,

DH and I have decided its time to jump on the TTC rollercoaster for the second time. I have PCOS and to conceive DD I needed metformin, provera and clomid.

I'm just wondering what the odds are that I will need to go through that again? Are there many ladies who needed help the first time but were able to conceive naturally the next time?

do you have a "cycle" at the moment - if you do, there should be no real need for the meds (though metformin is more to help with insulin resistance and help prevent early m/c, so might be worth the effort if your gyne thinks it will help)

if you have a cycle though, you should be able to give it a fair go on tour own - maybe look at charting (fertility friend etc) for help in tracking to make sure that you're ovulating...

i have PCOS too and had to use clomid and provera to conceive twice (and am on it again for ttc#3). All I can say is that it made things much easier the second time around as i knew what dose of clomid i needed, when i usually O'd and what days were best to take the clomid. Also didn't waste months waiting for a Dr to refer me to FS! But then i haven't had a cycle at all since i was a teenager.
    Good luck xx
