Thoughts please - phlegmy / mucousy 11 wk old

    Hi all,
Was after your thoughts please, or if any of you have experienced this.

    About 2 - 3 nights a week my 11 week DS has a 'plegm / mucous issue'.

Anywhere between the hours of 12am - 3am he develpos alot of phlegm / mucous and it sounds quite gurgly.

He gurgles away and blows bubbles, with a little mucousy / phlegmy vomit every other night. Not a huge one, but a little vomit justthe same. Sometimes he appears to be quite distressed in his sleep. This never wakes him up but he becomes very restless whilst asleep.

If I pick him up and lie him tummy down on my tummy on an angle, or lift him up onto my shoulder the problem seems to go. Could this be reflux??

Does anyone have any ideas or experienced this?? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Should also mention that his meals are EBM except for his evening meal which is formula (NAN 1HA Gold).

    Thanks...

    Fiona

I dont have any advice for you except talk to your mcn or doctor they might be able to help.

Are either you or your partner smokers?? Sounds a funny question I know but people who are exposed to smoke (second hand or not) are quite phlemy.

Your bubs is still quite young also so I know they can be snorty and gurgly as their body develops.

I dont know anything about reflux so I cant give you any answers.

    Possibility he is teething early??

Like I said Im not sure so contact your mcn see what they say.
