Babys neck folds

DS has red, sore looking neck folds. DH has been bathing him for the past few days and obviously neglecting to wash or dry in there properly. Now he has red weepy patches in his neck folds and also in the crease of one ear. It is weepy and yucky. I have wiped it all out with a soft cloth (DS got a bit agitated by that, I think it hurt him a bit ), but what can I do with it now? I have some cornflour powder, could I use that, would it agitate it because it is weepy and open? What else could I do?

I find savlon works well for Jazzy's sore looking neck. Someone also said curash powder might help too though I find powder to hard to get in there. Theres a thread around here somewhere... I'll go find it...
