My son Alley is now a yr old and now thinking its time for him to go into his own room!!
However after trying it like we did with my 1st son Jay waiting 5mins, 10 mins, 15 mins and going back and forth to check and settle him (my husband did most of the work as I had post natal depression). This worked well with Jay now nearly 5 he sleeps all night!
However back to my Alley this method did not work - He screamed and screamed, after 5mins to check and settle him then after another 5 mins he just sicked all over the place.
He is use to sleeping in our bed with us, but he cant do this forever. Im feeling guilty him crying, but its time for him to have his own space (room).
Can anyone help???
How can I get him to settle???
As anyone got any ideas???
Thank you
I suggest lying in his bed next to him till he's asleep to begin with, then gradually (over a few weeks) move to sitting on the end of his bed till you can leave him awake. Just do it gradually to make it a gentle transition

we used a little music box with our daughter.
she now sleeps for 12 hours at night and did so from 6 months
but it is ahrd work and it is emotionally draining.
we found that the music and light box created just enough lighta nd noise to make her think there were people around and now she doesnt use it either she just lays down and nodds off.
