My neice is now 6 and she was quite intregued when i was pregnant but she didnt want to touch my belly but she had pretty much full understanding of what was going on. anyway we had a convo a little while ago and it went like this..
J: Aunty hollye...
Me: Yes J
J: When are you going to have another baby?
Me: Im not sure, why?
J: Well when you do can you please have 2 so I can have one coz i dont think i want to be pregnant.
Me: awww y not?
J: I just dont *shivers*
Me: well if i have 2 i cant just give you one coz i will get in trouble
J: oh thats ok, we just wont tell anyone
J: but ill tell my mum..
My bro was a bit like that though, didn't want to go near my belly and OMG he freaked when I was 2 days from my due date (ie. HUGE) and Jazz made my belly look like something from Alien. He screamed and then cried. He's 7.
My DD is 10 and is often saying that she wants to adopt as she doesn't want to give birth. She hasn't seen a birth, so not totally sure where she's coming from!! Anyway, I just say that's fine, but she may change her mind!!! Just the fear factor of the unknown I guess!! xo
My sil was 13 when I was preg, and was really grossed out about the idea of breastfeeding, so I was worried about how she would be once I was actually doing it. I had no worries though - very soon after DD was born, she would quite often come and sit next to me while I was feeding, and stroke DD's head.
I suppose, as with all things, its the fear of the unknown!
LoL how cute!!! kids just say the cutest things...
My little sister, 4 at the time, was 'pregnant' when i was pregnant with izzy... and when she heard that i had gone to the hosp to have izzy... she quickly told her dad - "quick take me to the hospital they need to take my baby out too"
