Question What mattress for a toddler's bed do you recommend ?

    Hi all,

We are looking to purchase a mattress for our 2.5 years old bed

What kind of mattress did you purchase for your toddler/child ?

And what brand, approx price & what shop to purchase it ... and whether it's spring, foam or latex (i think we are more interested in a spring mattress)

We don't want to spend more than about $300 !!

Also we only want a mattress & not a base as we have an Antique Queen Anne single spring based bed & bedhead that was my older sister's.

    Thanks for any kind replies

Cheers from Lorelle & 2.5year old Cendrine xox

Oh big beds! I wish I were buying one for DD - how exciting!
I know I don't remember my mattress from that age, so if it was me, I would probably just go with the spring that you want in the best quality you can afford, and leave it at that. Oh, and get a waterproof protector! LOL

I recently purchased one from forty winks. It is sprung with good padding on top. The man in forty winks told me for young children there is no need to spend a fortune on a top of the range matress as they are so light. The one i got was good, but not over the top. On sale for $200 at their outlet store.
