I am 13 weeks and my husband and I have just started looking at all baby furniture. I know what I want in terms of cot, change table, car seat & bassinet so thats all good but I am really confused with the Pram!!!
I originally wanted the bugaboo but my husband refuses to pay the price they are asking for that pram.
Alot of my friends have the Beema Q and have recommended that as a good pram, however, just recently I discovered the Phil & Teds prams and I think one of them might be good, I am looking at the dash buggy or the VIBE -
Does anyone know anything about these prams that could assist me with my decision, all positive and negative feedback welcome and appreciated.

I'll be watching this thread with interest...I have started to do some preliminary looking and am totally confused! I too liked the bugaboo but DH said 'no'.
I have gone and looked at a few, but not seriously (eg have not tried to fold them down etc), but my first impression was that may are made for someone taller than my height (164cm) as even with adjustable handles I could not seem to get them low enough to be comfortable - the P&T was in that category.
I have the Phil & Ted's V3 (or is it E3?) Sport with the doubles kit and its fantastic. It looks similar to the Dash Buggy (had to google to see a pic) but its probably a newer one than mine as I got mine about 2 yrs ago now.
I originally bought a single pram with 4 wheels but had to scrap it when I had my second DD as my first was only 18 months. I use my P&T pram all the time still as it comes in handy when my 3 and nearly 2 yr old are too tired.
I'll be using it for this baby but I'll also be using a baby carrier as I dont want to bump my DD1 out of the pram if she needs it.
I guess a good question is do you think you'll be going back for more kids soon after this one is born? I didn't think about that and now have 2 prams, one that is collecting dust in the garage.

PS. I'm about 164cm and have no problems with my pram and its height, the Sport one has adjustable handles as well.
I have the Phil & Teds sport buggy & love it! I'm 160cm tall & find it lovely to push. DH is 6' 4" & he can easily adjust the handle to suit him nicely.
I have had mine for almost 2 years & it has been a hard worker for DD & now being used for DS, DD is almost 4 & she still fits really well for when she gets tired.
I took it out the back, sprayed it with a hose & used a brush to clean it. Left it in the sun & it came up a treat! Fantastic pram.
Also my 73 yr old MIL pushes DS in it while taking a walk to the beach & she just adores the ease of it. You can turn the pram easily one handed etc
There are 2 things I would change on the P & T if I could....
To lay it down you have to unzip it, & zip it up to sit up. I dont like that much as it makes it difficult at times, especially as they get bigger/heavier.
I also dont like how the brake is so stiff, I usually end up using my hand to take the brake off. But with saying that, its a great strong brake that means the pram isn't going anywhere when its applied!
Overall I really like it. I dont think you will ever find a pram that is "perfect". To have a light pram (like the P&T) you have to put up with the zipper seats. To have the good suspension ones usually means you have to pull it apart to put in the boot etc (Like my emmaljunga, awesome pram for newborns but pain in the butt putting it in the boot! I've also seen mums pulling apart the bugaboo to put in their boot so you have the same thing there)
I think word of mouth recommendations is a great way to go, so asking on here is a good start but I strongly suggest you "test drive" the prams at the baby shop (folding, pushing, measuring to see if it fits in your car boot etc) before you decide. Remember you will be using it ALOT so it should be one that fits YOUR needs, not everyone elses.

I had the Steelcraft Enigma 8 wheeler. It has been collecting dust in the shed since Noah was 3 months old.
I traded up for a secondhand Valco Runabout 1 which I thought was a dream.
I heard about the P&T and how much everyone loved theirs. When I got pregnant with this bean I made the decision that I would get it. I took ownership of my P&T apple green grafitti sport with doubles kit and I am in looooooooooooove. I am pretty sure my pram shopping has come to the end.
I absolutely adore my Beema Q Elite and am devestated to be getting rid of it but unfortunately it doesn't take a toddler seat so I'm stuck now with this one. I know it's hard to think of now (I know I certainly didn't, LOL!!!) but if you are playing to have more than one child think about a pram that will suit more than one child. The best thing is to go into pram shop and test drive them. Put them up, put them down, push around (with some weight in it), lift it up so you know how heavy it is and put it in your boot to make sure it fits and you can get it in and out. When you have a short list do some research on them. Get opinions and then go back again and look at your favourites. Take your time and do your research. Then search around for the best deal!! I've got the Enigma Steelcraft 8 Wheeler too, like LMS, but I loooove it and would highly recomend it.
It was not expensive- about $350, from what I remember. It layed back and 'tucked in' as a little cradle when ds was a newborn, and between the fully adjustable- from 90 degrees to flat- back, and the fold down and up foot rest, it is perfect for any stage as they get older- you can sit them up a little, or a lot, and then lay them down to sleep.
And the big bonus is, with all the zipper parts removed (like the back bit with the pocket, the fly shade and the under basket unclipped) it is now a perfect stroller for a toddler- which saved me having to buy a seperate stroller.
The only drawback as I see it is the wheels are not fantastic for steering, but it is much more stable than a 3 wheeler.

I bought the P&T for the stability and the fact that the doubles kit when on is in a good place to avoid topples.
Hi!we had the same problem!Its so hard we went to so many baby shops and ended up with the steelcraft strider,not the brand new one thats just come out the one before,not totally sure how it goes yet as bubs not due yet but its really easy to put down and up again and is easy to push,nice big wheels for walks and looks pretty good too.We paid $379 for it.
If I had my time over, I would of brought a Phil & Ted's. I love the look of them and quite a few of my mum's group have them and love them. I have a Valco - which is fantastic because I do lots of walking out on walking tracks etc so it's very sturdy. However it's a nightmare at the supermarket - it's wheel base is so big it won't fit through a regular checkout, we always have to ask them to open the disabled ilse for us.

My husband and I were in different opinions about the pram as I tend to always go for higher quality (more expensive) and as he is an accountant tends to be more realistic. I originally wanted the Beema Q as I have quite a few friends who have it and have all recommended it, however, I decided that I wanted to make my own decision and not choose a pram purely b/c my friends have it. Once I saw the P&T prams I changed my mind almost immediately about the Beema Q and decided that P&T was the way to go. However, we finally decided today that although it is quite expensive, much more so than the Beema Q, we are getting the P&T Vibe, it was the most expensive one ut of all the P&T's but I really liked it and fell in love with it almost straight away. The actual pram was $899 + extras it was approx $1100, we too were thinking ahead and thought about more children which was what made the sale...
Good buy I actually wish I had spent more on a pram and not bothered with a change table- you will use your pram almost evry day and it pays to have a good one
