Talking *Quick Help Needed* SAFE-N-SOUND COMPAQ DELUXE PADDED CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT

    Do you have one????

This is going to end on EBAY very shortly and I was wondering if you have one, what is the weight limit for it being in the reverse position? We want a second car seat for DH's car and as a general spare to go in other cars and when I messaged the seller they didn't answer the question properly!!

Thankyou soooo much if you can help me

    Hi
I know someone that works in a baby shop and she has suggessted being very cautious about buying a second hand seat. She has seen alot of crash test videos involving old and used seats. The main problem being that after 10 years the plastic has been exposed to enough UV light to start to break it down and it loses it's strength. When it is involved in an accident it has become brittle and may collapse. You might want to check the manufacture date of any seat you are considering buying. Also some people aren't exactly honest when it comes to telling you about the seat being involved in an accident, some might just say no because they want a sale and others may say no because they may have only beeen involved in what they would consider to be a minor accident. Any accident is going to cause stress on the frame of the seat and reduce it's safety. Her suggestion was to only buy a second hand seat off someone you know personally and trust. Not trying to scare you here but it's always wise to be cautious.
