Question Burning sensation in foot....nerve compression? Any ideas?

    Hi,

I've been suffering extremely swollen feet and ankles the last 10 weeks in pregnancy however the last 4 weeks have been the worst for me..... with being heavily pregnant not to mention the heat up here in QLD at the moment.

The last 3 days I've noticed my right foot, and only my right foot, now and then, starts feeling all hot like it's on fire but then it stops within 2 secs. As soon as it starts it stops basically. It doesn't happen in my other foot just right foot. Both feet are equally swollen. The pain is more felt in the upper part of the foot in the toe region and top half area.

Could this be nerves being compressed from the swelling? Is nerve compression associated with burning sensations?

Bizarre I know but didn't want to ring midwives to ask as it seems silly. I'm not worried just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this??

It probably happens 3 or 4 times a day and sometimes when resting my feet too.

i dont get burning i get more a tingly feeling...my feet have swolen up and gone down (but im in VIC...and its heating up now) i think it may be due to nerve compression, but its better to call the midwives and find out. they may tell you its normal or may ask you to come in...or tell you how to ease it off...
