    Car Anchor points

    HELP!

How do I install, or where do I get anchor points installed in my car??
Is it expensive for someone else to do it?

We have 2 cars and both only have 1 anchor point, in the center postion.

We are going to need 2 points put in to each car, one on each side, so that we can have the 2 child restraints in there.

call the RACV and the likes! they will tell you who is authorised to install car points in your car

Have a look at your back dash and you shopuld be able to tell if they are already there you will have a plastic lug with a flat head screw driver divit in it!

I would imagine that the points are there just not the bolts. All cars have at least two usually three points but they only supply one bolt with each car sold for some reason. You can get extra bolts from most babystores or definitely any RACV store.....you just need to lift the plastic lug that will be covering the bolt hole in the back of your car and screw the bolt in...then fit your car seat as per normal. you car manual should have a diagram of where they are if you get stuck

You can also buy the anchor bolts from Target (may be cheaper than RACV). If you want to have the bolt etc. installed for you, the VicRoads website has a more comprehensive list of places that offer this service than RACV.
