Isab3lle - I think your list of names is great - at the end of the day it doesn't matter what other people think of the name you choose for your child, as long as you love it that is all that matters! Out of those names I particularly like Isabella and Jade for obvious reasons! but also Liliana and Savannah.

I have answered what I can... some names don't stir a response from me mainly because I don't know anyone with that name! Just remember though to pick something YOU love! The name you chose will be associated with your bub and all the first responses to the name you chose will soon be forgotten hun. So don't let my answers or anyone else's put you off any names if you love them! I know a little boy call Marshall! I first balked at the thought of a kid being called Marshall but now I can't imagine him being call any other name So I hope this helps somewhat!

Hailey- A loud mouth I went to school with. I also think of people in their late 20's (not sure why!)
    Helena-
    Hope- I love this name!
    Ingrid- Old fashioned name
    Iris- A grandma
Isabella- I love this name too.... and think of a gorgeous BB friends beautiful DD!
Jade- A gf of mine... Cute name though
    Jean- A Grandma's name!
    Jenna-
    Juliet- A pretty name!
    Kate- A plain jane name
    Kathleen- Hi Five!
    Kathryn-
    Katie-
    Keira-
    Kristen-
    Laura-
    Laurel- Jerry McGuire character!
    Lena-
    Liliana
    Lindsey- Lohan!
    Louise
    Lucille
    Margaret- Thatcher!
    Michelle-
    Morgan- Cute name!
    Natasha
    Nicole
    Quinn
    Ruby
    Sage-
    Sarah- A gorgeous BB friend
Savannah- I LOVE this name and have this on my list! It to me is a freeing name... I think it is because I think of Africa and the plains. Am I wierd?
    Shannon
    Shia
Sophie- I love this name... very sweet
    Suranne- Not
    Theresa-
    Trinity-
    Victoria-

I'll read through again later when I have more time and see if I can add anything else!

My need to not procrastinate means I can't go through your whole list however:
Sophie - every Sophie I have ever met was pretty, smart and easy to get along with
Natasha - is one of my fave names although have never known anyone really closely with that name.
    Goodluck on whatever you chose!

I think you have a good list. It looks like you have put a fair bit of thought into making it. I say go with the name that feels right for you at the right moment.

I love many of those names. Here's an idea, write another list pairing names off together, perhaps shortening your list. See if that makes your decision easier. Liliana Sage sounds pretty to me. Are you having a girl? I always found girl names came to me more readily than boy names. We have a boy's name we both like, but its not important as we're not TTC yet. And I have to say, it was quite mean to correct you on grammar without even replying to your question. I personally am a bit anal about spelling and grammar but I keep that to myself as it is not my place to correct another's speech.

Kathryn and Margaret are fine... Since they are my names lol

    What I think:

    Hailey - don't like it
    Helena - too supermodelly
Hope - nice (bit american if anything)
    Ingrid - very old fashioned
Iris - again old fashioned - reminds me of a 70+ old lady I knew - she was a nice lady though
    Isabella - nice
    Jade - don't like
    Jean - too male
    Jenna - like it
    Juliet - okay
Kate - know too many Kates
    Kathleen - yuck
    Kathryn - yuck again
    Katie - okay
Keira - never heard this one
    Kristen - okay
    Laura - nope
    Laurel - nope
Lena - never heard this one either
    Liliana - nice
    Lindsey - nope
Louise - nice (my middle name)
    Lucille - nope
Margaret - my first name - don't know anyone young with this name
    Michelle - nope
    Morgan - okay
    Natasha - nope
    Nicole - nope
Quinn - hmmm, I know a family with this for a surname
Ruby - okay again old fashioned
    Sage - nope
    Sarah - like it
    Savannah - like it
    Shannon - nope
Shia - not heard of it
    Sophie - like it
Suranne - not heard of it
    Theresa - NO
    Trinity - nope
    Victoria - okay

BUT like said above, it's not up to anyone else to like or dislike as long and you and your hubby do is all that matters.

Almost all of those names, when I look at them I picture a baby girl to see if the name fits. TBH those "old" names are pretty when put to a baby. When I think Iris, I think of a pretty flower. Helena sounds powerfuly to me, as I think of the Greek goddess Helena or perhaps I'm confused with Helen of Troy. Ingrid, I went to school with an Ingrid, she spoke french but her family were not from France but from a french speaking country south of France. I try not to think of people when thinking of names. I think of pretty names that sound soft and loving. Hope is common but means a lot. One of my cousins has the middle name of Hope and her sister has the middle name of Grace. My aunt is very spiritual, and has two angel babies before her eldest.

It might surprise you to know that this is actually in the forum guidelines about Netiquette here https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...uidelines.html and in particular, point 8. This came about because we actually do get posts reported for text speak. So as a moderator I find it hard to sit by when someone does a thread title and post using it. It is a condition of membership that ALL members read the guidelines before they post.

Even so Trill, I thought it may have been a wiser move to direct this member to the Guidlines and not come up with a smart reply. You posted as a Member with your opinion and not as a Mod.

TBH, I agree with Oshani. As a moderator, you should be more diplomatic and assertive. When you disagreed with her type of speech, you ridiculed her and did not point out the guideline.

Oshani - I agree, this member is still very new (10 posts) and that directing her to the guidelines may have been a nicer way..

Isab3lle, the names are nice, but i think you need to narrow the list a little and maybe you should run through and write down your first impression of each name to help you narrow it down..

You're right, maybe it shouldn't have been said and as such I am big enough to acknowledge that and remove my post. But the fact remains that new member or not, the guidelines are not there for the sake of it and should be adhered to.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I thought we got a private post if there was a problem. A warning? Probably a kinder way of doing it.
