    External study and centrelink

My sis is about to start studying externally at uni, she's been on the Centrelink website and she qualifies for Youth Allowance except she's not 100% sure she'll get paid as she's studying externally? BG?

as long as she is studying the minimum levels (i think it's something like 0.75 of the FT study load) she should qualify. some people have no choice but to study off campus due to locational disadvantages, so that isn't an expectation - it's about the study load (and progress), not location

given you are living in a marriage like relationship, your partners income will come into it, not your parents. if you are not living with your partner (which i'm assuming you are), they will look at whether or not you've been working enough to deem yourself independent (earnt 17k i think in 18 months since leaving school)
