    one car three babies

    Hi,

I am mummt to twin boys and have another on the way this september. Whilst my boys will be in forward facing baby seats I need to fit a third rear facining baby seat in our current model Toyota hilux. Does anyone have the same car? Or maybe you can give me some ideas on compact baby seats? by the way what was does a baby have to be before it fits into a booster? i think my boys will still be way too small.

dont quote me on this, but i think it varies from state to state. Personally I won't even think about moving Mason into a booster seat until he is 3. But they are just as wide, if not wider as a forward facing baby seat.

Hope some others can give you some advice on some compact seats. And congrats on your pregnancy

    congrats on ur pregnancy zap!
I know the turn-a-tot is a good compact, and is a convertable (rear/forward facing)
I think your bubs have to be 18kg to be in a booster, which is around 4yrs.

The booster I have found here is from 14 kilo's. Im in Syd. My DD is over three but under 14 kilos'. I have to say the booster looks bigger than the current car seats... I will also have three in the back, although one isn't in a carseat. Hope you find what you're looking for.
    Good luck xo

Well i don't have the same car i have a landcruiser 100 series and i have a booster a maxi rider (which r great concert from babt seat 9kg i think into a booster seat) and a turn-a-tot which turns to face the door put new born baby in and then turn it back tio rear facing compact size really great. i suggest going to a baby store and trying them in your car.

    Hope this helps

Take your car to a baby shop and get the to put the various car seats in the back to try them out. It really is worth doing this.

This is what we done. we have a small wagon (pg brain I cann't even remember what 'brand'). and are having a booster (my 3yr DD is bigger then most 4yr olds - 17kg, very tall), a maxi-rider and a s'n's compaq - It is a tight squeeze. If we didn't go with the booster, there were a couple of options available to us - there were generally lesser known brands of car seat, but weren't as bulky.

I would go into the baby shop too!!

Personally I upgraded my car, but that was always my plan, I did not want to be fitting 3 carseats into a Daewoo Nubira wagon!! They are too narrow!! and I struggled to get into the middle past the 2 older children so there would be no way I could get past with a baby.

I would recommend using a capsule so that you can put the bigger boys in with as little disturbance to bubs as possible. I would also have bubs on one side so that you can easily get all of them in and out. I also find the capsule a bit narrower than the convertible carseats.
