my "little laa" as her nickname has become is such a happy, content beautiful little angel all night (has 1-2bdream feeds during the night, doesnt wake), happy all day (lots of little short naps, ranging fron 20 mins to 2 hours) but then.........
evening strikes
and she screams and cries and.... i have no idea why?
starts around 7 each night and can go up to 10:30, with a couple of breaks in between.
she settles if we give her a bath - but as soon as she gets out she just screams more!
she will lay around and then all of a sudden just screams, like something is hurting - but she doesnt pull her knees up... so i dont think its wind....
i really dont think its a supply issue - any ideas???
Yep, I have an idea - I'd say it's her arsenic or witching "hour". DS1 was exactly the same, he was all good and fine until around dinner time and then he'd start up EVERY single night. I know they say "hour", but he would go on for at least 2 or 3 hours. We would take turns wearing him in a baby carrier and take him for a walk, he loved being worn and would fall asleep for a while. We'd tag team and lay him across our arms for a while, we tried lots of different things really. Unfortunately it's one of those things that you have to ride out, they eventually grow out of it.
Arsenic hour! Nothing you can do about it but cuddles and ride it out
Does she want to feed as well? With Ruby she starts arking at about 8. I feed her, bath, cuddle, feed again and she will usually crash down by 10pm.
Caleb used to do his from 4am That used to knock me around!
We have the same thing happening here, DS is the same age as your DD....yes and it goes from about 7 pm to 10.30 pm / 11 pm....I just end up walking around with him, giving him a couple of feeds when he gets really bad, a bath, a little baby massage, the Infacol does seem to work to an extent, with DS it does seem to be a bit of wind, as he is a bit of a windy baby. I am just hoping by about three months it gets less and less.....sorry I don't have any good ideas on what to do, I think it is just something that will be solved by time....

Thanks guys. Ithought it would jus be something like that - cos there really isnt anything "wrong"......... poor DH though, its the only time he gets with her and she just doenst want to know him then, only mummy.............
she is laying on the lounge now, happily talking to herself and smiling, AM baby is bliss, PM baby breaks my heart cos i just want her to be happy!!
eta - raven, soemtimes she has a bit of a feed, soemtimes i pull out "ze boobee" and she just screams even more!

Nina's arsenic hour was from 4pm till 9pm every day for about 8 weeks!!! I used to just sit on the lounge and let her feed, cry, try and comfort her, she'd hate that, so I'd feed again, she'd cry again, she might have a sleep, then wake up and cry. It was awful, but we hang in there and at around 10 weeks old she was in a great routine of going to bed at 6pm. She didn't sleep through, but at least the routine was there
