Man, I jsut typed a huge epic and when I hit submit it told me thread was closed. So I'll be brief this time. WE're going to see "Australia". Now I'm off to hang up nappies.

Oh yeah, Gigi, Nathaniel's shaped a lot like his sister but he has his daddy's round bottom. I'm after fitteds as at the moment he's suffering from the heat.

Sorry Darl but it's got to be expected when the thread gets to over 300 posts that it could be closed at any time for the new one

i am planning to always have a natural butt overnight - no pul, so a BBB, silk liner and wool cover, in the hope it will be good for her lil butt

wohb - bbb/lovelybums pull up wool cover (digging these wool covers at the moment!!)

Rhoda Ruby slept for 12 hours last night in a BBB and there was no way I'm going to wake her up to change her. But I don't do dream feeds. Perhaps instead of a magicall you could use something with a bit more in it so you don't need to change him. Does his skin feel wet to touch in the morning?

    hey chatterboxes !!

I had Gabbi in a BBB and wool cover and it lasted about 12 hours .. i am surprised at NN i used to be chicken of them ..

Gigi - i coulnd get MED size in KK's at the time it was Med/long or Large, and they were $20 each so it took the last of her stock ... lol the crotch of the nappy is inbetween her knees .. oh well she will grow ..

question - im going to sydney in 2 weeks for 4 days , WHAT sort of colth should i take .. i had thought of taking sposies , but we have a laundry in the apartmaent so i might as well wash and dry ..
DH thinks fitteds and covers... i think pockets with hemp inserts ... or AI2's
sooo if i go pockets wich shall i buy? DS is TT atm so wears a nappy but its dry coz we take a potty of use the loo .. ( so can he wear 1 all day , JIC ?? )

OFSA pockets like GK ?? im keen to try them but not sure on OSFA ... he can get into a MEd nappy (just a lil short at the back) so should i just get MEd and put him in them for the 4 days ??

i will be keeping the naps in a WB ..

and whom ever asked before about how many WBs ??? .. I have 4 wetbags !!

got my WC and its groovy as !! i love paisley anything !!

Okay, am gunna ask this one again as I couldnt find a reply, but I may have just been having a dumb one.
Do i need a LS if I am going to use liners (flushable)
Also, Is the reason for the moogoo, cause it is "safe " for mcns ie washes off, or is it cause its better than the other stuff.
ANNND, do you use the moogoo MSM as a barrier cream for everyday or only when you have red bum?

Shells - from what i can gather, liners will help to a degree, but there is no guarantee it will stop all stuff getting to the nappy - if baby is teething or has an upset tum at all, you're going to have messy poo - the liners will get rid of it to a degree, but may not get rid of it all kwim? i'm not sure if we'll end up using flushable liners - have thought about it - but i figured that having a LS can't hurt - short term liner use may not turn into long term - and the idea of scraping poop just doesnt' appeal!

with the moo goo - from what i've read on their site, it's a more natural cream than a lot of the supermarket ones, so i'm leaning towards it for that reason - my skin is super sensitive (even moreso now that i'm UTD) so i'm thinking there is a fair chance that baby will be the same - if i can eliminate as many "unnatural" products as possible (i'm sure there is a more appropriate word). i'm also going to change to moogoo shampoo and body wash for me so that ther is a consistent, not heavily perfumed, smell around for her as i know how much i've been suffering from strong smells at the mo... someone else will have to answer about the everyday cream for you - no idea on that one!

oh nos, stupid me deleted my post

lea- GK doesnt come with inserts, but other osfm come with microfibre. do u have hemp trifolds/inserts already? i dont know much abt sizing as most of mine as osfm but i could stack a GK on top of a magicall if u want...when considering what type to bring, take into account what ur comfortable with (dont want any nasty surprises), weight/bulk if flying...i asked abt wbs hehe

shelley- ls&liner: nb poo is quite runny so liners dont do much & bf poo is water soluble so it can go straight into machine if u dont mind, liners will work out costing more in the long run so put that into consideration. ive been convinced that the ls makes life easier, but if u dont like it u could always sell it im sure some1 would be happy to buy a 2nd hand one cheaper
moogoo: its preferred as it doesnt stain mcns and it hasnt got as much nasties in it as other products (frm wt i read on website)

hey , im cool with pockets and ai2s when flying , i dont really want fitteds as they would be heavier and unlined so its more i gotta take . im thinking pockets as they are quick dry , and i have a few hemp inserts here and PF's .. i would get more insets as well .. MF dries super quick but id only use it as a short term thing kwim ? so it'd be a waste $$ kwim .. and i dont think MF has any resale value lol ..
my sewing machine crapped it .. i have to get a new one .. i was working on fixing something and now i cant

lea- MF: happy heinys (think theres still a few in booroi) comes with 2 MF inserts (small&large) so if u already have some hemp, then u've got 2 uses out of the 1 pocket already kwim? have u flown o/s using pockets or jst interstate? im going both interstates & o/s next mth so am tryin to find what the best nappy to use (i dont have any fitted so that u know)
