    Bathing Issues

From day one Bianca has absolutly LOVED her baths until Wednesday!!!
DH put her in the bath and she screamed and screamed and screamed, and every day since that is all she has done!
What has happened why does she not like her baths now?
    Is this normal?
I had a shower with her the other morning and she enjoyed that, but seems to now hate her baths!

Hmm thats strange. Did she have a nappy rash at all? Or was the water a bit too warm? Only other thing i can suggest is to have a bath with her? Or shower like you are. Also what time of day are you bathing her? Is it before a feed? I wonder if as shes getting bigger, naturally, shes getting more hungrier and is just wanting a feed?
Otherwise im sure its just a phase and she will be fine in no time to come.

    Best of luck.

no nappy rash, and the water hasnt been to warm or too cold.
We bath her around the same time every day and that is between 1700-1730 than she has a feed after her bath, this has been pretty much routine from day dot!
She is getting bigger, and still fits in her bath, so dont think that is the issue!
im hoping its just a phase and she gets out of it very quickly cause it is not fun bathing her anymore and she gets herself soooo worked up! she screams the whole time she is getting dressed also!

DD did this - I can only gather it had to do with the fact that I gave her a shower one day which she prefered over the bath hence the bath time antics here . Anyway, we introduced some new bath toys and she enjoyed it again. Sometimes she still carries on when I tell her it's bath time and refuses to get in... and then loves it when she's in and screams when I get her out .

    I hope it passes soon.

I remember Darcy doing that at about that age. Maybe it's a developmental thing?
However it probably is still a phase. We've had them on and off for the last couple of years. This week she will only have showers... girls!

    hi there!
My DD loves her baths, but we have had the scream fests too! We've worked out that she only screams when she has dry skin, check that out as that could be your problem!!!! Even if you cant tell if its dry, rub in some moisturiser and see if that works!
Hopefully things will turn around for you!

    Justine, thank you!

My 5 week old screams the house down every time we put him in the bath, and it was only when I read your post that I remembered the paediatrician had recommended moisturising him before each bath because he has such dry skin... Will try that next time and see if he copes a little better!

    Thanks Everyone!

Not sure if this is the reason but DH usually baths her and lately she has been off for a bit and will scream and carry on if he picks her up or changes her nappy etc so last night i thought maybe i should try and give her a bath, she screamed for the first few seconds than settled down and went back to loving her bath!
Is that normal? she isnt quite 3mths yet and already she seems to be more attached to me than DH!
