We had a lovely summer at the beach. DS was always slathered in 30+SPF, wore a hat, 3/4 sleeve rashie and boardies. He did turn a little brown on his exposed areas but was never burnt, or even a shade of pink.
But now he has a dark mole (like we have) on his lower arm. Should I be worried? How many other babies have moles like this? It's a tiny bit raised.
Some people just have them hon. My DH has heaps all over his body which he has had since the beginning of time. But I would still get it checked out at the Dr - if for nothing else than to have a record of it so it can be tracked later in life for any changes.
My little fella developed a tan mole on his butt cheek when he was six weeks old - obviously he hadn't yet been out sunning his butt by that stage so it definitely wasn't related to sun exposure.
His father has quite a few so I suspect he has just inherited a tendency to getting them as well.
My DS has quite a dark on on his tummy, and it came well before he saw the sun. It is quite similar to some I have, so I assumed it was just a thing he inherited... I forgot to mention it to the DR at his 6m checkup and will do so next time we are in.
