    Hi Kitt3n,

I've got this and it's fantastic. I have a few slings and this is the fifth one and my baby loved it. He can cuddle me and sleep in it comfortably for hours. I had this two days before we went overseas and I walked around with him through out the holiday. One thing is I always have a weak back, it takes about 5 hours walking around then I can start feeling the weight (he was 6.5 kg at the time). Others slings I'll start feeling the pain after 1hr or two later. I really cannot recommend close baby carrier much more. I asked my hubby to get me another colour for my birthday in April too...
    Hope this help.

Well, not long after i posted this i bit the bullet and bought one - it is so fantastic that I am now a consultant for them! (see link in sig )

I now have two. I simply cant be without it, if one is in the wash I now have another - its the fifth sling I have tried to and I only wish it was the first, I would have saved so much money!

I have one too I love it for short trips. Because Ash is so big however it's not good for longer ones, but I am working on that. I can not for the life of me get the outwards carry right, Ash tips forwards and almost falls out!! Am gonna keep trying it though. I wish I had one when he was a NB!

I have borrowed a hug a bub from my bro, and just love it! The only difficulty is having to wear it continuously- or re-tie it standing next to the car before i get bub out. Does the close carrier have the same feel as the hug a bub? is it worth splashing out on one?

IMHO the Close Carrier is much much better than the HAB - and there are some on super special on ebay at the moment (colours are not being stocked again apparently)

    they are around $70

I had a friend give me a wrap-carrier that was based on the HAB I believe which DS & I really liked but it was a PITA to tie up when going to shops, getting in & our of car etc. Is the Close Carrier pre-done in the sense that you can put it on and just put bub in? Is that the main difference? I need to go and do some more research. I have a sling but would like an easy to use carrier for #2 as well.

If I was buying new now I think I'd get a close carrier over my HAB. But I didn't find the HAB that hard or annoying last time so I'm thinking I'll just stick with it rather than get another. Shame to see something that looks even better though!

Do the shoulder straps on the close carrier spread out over your shoulders like the HAB?

After talking with Rufalina the other day and checking out You Tube I jumped online and bought one! Yay for my first baby wearer Kitten I believe you were instrumental on Rufi's conversion too

I've been tossing up between a HAB and CC for Phoenix's first few months, and the fact that the CC is less fiddly convinced me as DH will be more likely to use it too.

Can't wait for it to arrive...

Definitely a great carrier for newborns. I used mine to death when Eden was younger. Have now moved on to other carriers since she is much bigger

But sooo easy to get on and off.
