What is this feeling?

Recently I've been getting really strong, sort of painful pressure in my bladder. It only lasts a few seconds, and strangely doesn't make me feel I need the toilet any more than usual. It does however seem to be triggered by me going to the toilet. Anyone else experience this, and any idea what it is?

It doesn't feel like a uti. Thought it might be to do with baby moving down further, or something?

I've been told that is baby moving down into the pelvis, engaging. The head puts excess pressure on the bladder and especially if the baby moves its head, it can cause intense flashes of pressure.

I have this thing now where I go to the loo, get up, walk out of the bathroom and feel like I need to go again...

Oh I remember that feeling!! It's awful at the time, but it's a great thing, because it means bub is heading south, doing what he/she should be doing.

Oh, that is great news! Now, if he'd just keep heading further and further south... you know, like all the way south!
