my DD loves ice cubes! i give about 4 to her in a special cup and she'll suck on them. is there any danger in doing this? part of me worries when she has one in her mouth!
the size is important, but the ice will actually melt before it can do any harm if it does get stuck in the throat if it is small enough. Charlotte has been having icecubes since she was 6 months old and we have NEVER had an issue at all. She knows how to suck on them and will spit them out and suck them up again and agian until they ae small enough for her to chew on. She loves them!!
Like I said though, the size is definately important.
I remember Joshua choking on one a little bit when he was probably around 8ish months?? I panicked at first but then reality hit... like LimeSlice said... they melt before they can do harm anyway. Especially if you can get them to drink a little water it'll melt it even faster.
