    Eesa for a boy

We want to name our boy Eesa. Its the arabic name for Jesus. Just want to know what you guys think of it. Some people spell it as Issa. But Eesa sounds more precise to me as you have to extend the '''e'' sound.
We are Muslims and our names are also arabic and from the Quran. I came across Eesa and me and my husband like it as its pretty easy to pronounce.

I prefer the spelling of Eesa rather than with the ' I '

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but may I ask, why a name meaning Jesus if you aren't christian? I do like it but.

many people don't realize this but Muslims also believe in Jesus, he is one of our Prophets just like Muhammad (peace be upon them)

I think that Jesus can be a pretty common name in many other countries anyway? I think Eesa's really nice, great choice.

i think the best part about this name is that its special to you guys! It has a meaning and a background!
I think spelling with an E is better than an I also which would always be miss pronounced

I like the way you have decided to spell it. It is unambiguous and definately emphasises the long 'e' sound.

I first heard of this name on Dora The Explorer! but I think it is spelt Issa...

I really like this name. It is definately uncommon, in Australia at least.

I wasn't sure I liked it til I knew its meaning and why you guys have chosen it and now I think it's just beautiful, either with the Ee or the I.
