I associate Jodie Foster age 13 or so singing "my name is Tallulah" in that movie I cannot remember for some reason. and I love it.
Just a couple of questions about the name Tallulah.
Would you pronounce it Ta - loo - lah or Ta -lool - ah? (note the difference in the sound of the middle of the name)
Would you use the nickname 'Lula' or something else?
Do you think it's too out there?
What kind of personality to you associate with this name? Is it pretty?
I associate Jodie Foster age 13 or so singing "my name is Tallulah" in that movie I cannot remember for some reason. and I love it.
I would pronounce Ta - loo - lah - nicknames Lu, or Lu-la or Tali
And I am personally (sorry) not fond... I get "trailer trash" vibes when I hear it...
I love itI think it's very pretty. I would pronounce Ta - Lu - La
Tully for short which I love. or Lulu which is very pretty. I think its a nice name![]()
Yeah I'd pronounce it the same way as Missy Mel.
And I'd only use it if the middle name was Belle cos that just sounds really pretty.
same as arimeh and missymoo
i think of rachel beck as thats her DD name
But that's so Bruce/Demi!!!And I'd only use it if the middle name was Belle cos that just sounds really pretty.
Not sure what I would pair it with, something either really strong or something super pretty.
It's great that you guys pronounce it that way - I was a bit worried people would say it with that "drawl" in the middle.
Which spelling looks better IYO?
Tallulah or Tahlula
I prefer the sp. Tallulah. And I would also pronounce it Ta -loo-lah.
I know a couple of girls under 5 with this name. And of course, there is Tallulah from Maisy Mouse!
*** dont read below if you want me to be honest**** !!
just reminds me of that little mouse......
I am possibly using this name as the heroine in my novel. So think of it in terms of a 21 year old girl rather than a baby or a child. I wanted something a little different, because I want her name to stand out.
My alternative is Sophia.
Hey well Sophia is our's for a girl! Tallulah I would prounounce it the first way
One day I had never heard this name now I have heard alot of it!
i like it but now i always think of the poor new zealand girl
tallulah does the hula in hawaii
um, I would have said tah-lool-ah myself.
I prefer the first spelling, and if was going to nick name would prolly be lulu
This name reminds me of the movie "cool Runnings". When their naming their sled he wants to call it Tullulah and everyone laughs and he gets angry cos its his mums name.
Tall-loo-lah is how i would pronounce it
Prefer Tallulah spelling
Reminds me of something Hawaiian ... or something beachy ... a pretty name !!
P.S - OMG, KASS ... if you checked my past posts ... I am just mad about the name SOPHIA... I Love, Love, Love it ... Would be sooooo excited if you had a lil girl with the name Sophia (hint, hint, LOL ... and goes so gorgeous with Bella Ballerina
)
