Question Endometrial Polyps - does anyone have/or had these?

    Hi,
I was hoping to hear from anyone who has had or currently has endometrial polyps. I am waiting to see my gyno to see about curet/treatment and was wanting to know what to expect etc....any advice would be greatfully accepted.
    Thanks

I just had a scan today & found a polyp. I'm very interested in hearing from others. I looked on the net & the information says it's most common in women in their 40s & 50s... Didn't realise my body thought I was that old! I'm only 28.

Being obese can be a factor too - so I'll be off to the gym tonight.

    Hi Kaz,

As I'm not getting any help from my FS, I am scouring the web for answers myself. This is what I've found tonight:
Endometrial polyps are typically non-cancerous, growths that protrude from the lining of the uterus. The cause of endometrial polyps is unclear, although they are often associated with an excess of estrogen following hormone treatment or some types of ovarian tumors. Treatments for endometrial polyps include hysteroscopy and D&C. A pathology lab will evaluate endometrial polyps for cancer following removal.

I assume my IVF treatment has had something to do with this?

How did your D&C go? I'm still waiting on good old AF to show up before the go in for a look.
