what do you think of phil and teds sport & vibe???
hi girls!!!
was just after some feedback- good or bad- on the phil and teds vibe or sports!!!
if anyone could point out the differences that would be great too!!!
im looking at the green material and was also wondering if its easy to keep clean??
I am 20wks pregnant and we recently purchased the P&T - Vibe. My choice for choosing the vibe over the sports or dash was that we weren't to keen on the brake with the sports and dash. The vibe has a easy push button on the handle to lock and unlock and we felt the sports and dash might send our child flying onto the pavement... It just seemed really difficult to lock.. I also preferred the look of the vibe. It was a little more pricey but I feel it was money well spent..
I currently have the P&T Sport in the Blue camo and I love it but with number two on the way and never relised this but the sports and dash dont fold with the doubles kit on the bottom. Only the Vibe does, so we are selling our and buying a vibe!!
love my vibe,
it's also lighter as its made from alluminium not steel.
money well spent, i got mine through Mako, just google, and saved a bomb delivered to my door.
my vibe is all black so can't answer your green q
I've bought the vibe ready for bub #4, but have taken it for a couple of outings with my 4.5yo and 19mo in it to test it. And even with their combined weight of about 35kg, it was a BREEZE to use! I LOVE it...
When we were looking at the sports, the brake seemed very "clunky" and difficult. I love the instant brake on the vibe.
Just a note though, I haven't collasped it with the toddler seat on the bottom, but when you collaspe it with the toddler seat on the top it makes the folded pram very long. I don't think it would fit in some cars.. so check that out. I have to take mine off purely for space in our car, but it takes like 2 secs to do so.
I found that when you lay the main sect down flat to let a bub sleep.. it is completely open to you at the back.. so not very "dark" IYKWIM. I just throw a cot blanket over the top to darken it to keep bub asleep.
I'm pregnant with our first baby but we plan on having more children so it seems like a good idea to get the 'right' pram first time around and we're very interested in the Vibe. However, I've read some reviews online where people were complaining that the toddler seat is much smaller than the Sport and their toddler was too big for the seat! Many of the reviews said they'd prefer the Sport as the toddler seat is much bigger.
Can anyone vouch for this? Any info would be appreciated!
We just put the Vibe on lay bye. We tested it out with DS2 in the toddler seat, he is 2 and 85cms tall and he had heaps of room.
My only thing I have been wondering about is that when you have the toddler seat on the back, are your legs constantly bumping into the toddler seat when you walked? It seemed to have been the only issue I had with it when I tested it out, but for the very limited amounts of time I would be using the toddler seat, it's not that big a hassle to me.
Mumofmany, yes i do have trouble where as DP doesn't....he has more body strength then me though too, i think the trick is to make sure it is as closed as it can be and the front wheel is flat not sticking out IYKWIM. I absolutely love the UV protector, with the back part on it lets so much air flow through yet is nice and dark for bub to sleep in.
Not sure about that one Taurean maybe ring around a few baby shops in your area and see if they have the whole range of P&T for you to take a look at.
Taurean - I found when I put my 19mo in the toddler seat, her head poked just above the top of the seat. Like.. only half her head. That meant that I could recline that seat the lil bit when she fell asleep.. but she still slept comfortably none the less. The vibe has a lot more comfy padding than the sports... so more comfortable. Personally, the ease of the brake, weight of the overall pram and the comfort of the seats far out weighs if the seat is smaller.
Lisa - Granted I've only used it once with the toddler seat down bottom and had my 4.5yo up top, but I never kicked the back of the seat once.. But i'm tallish and have long arms, so may be standing back a bit. I'm bout 5'9. You can adjust the handle.. that might make a difference?
Dannim - i'm glad I'm not the only one. My DH has said to make sure the wheel is flat.. and that the basket underneath kinda folds into itself.. which i have.. i'm sure as time goes it will "loosen".
