    Pregnancy News-

    Hi Ladies,

I was wondering how everyone has taken your news??

Hopefully everyone's experiences have been just as delightful as mine....

My family has been overwhelmed with excitement & as well as my DHs family!
My mother & My MIL can?t wait to take me shopping as she is constantly seeing items & has bought a few things for bubs too! Even DHs aunties have been really helpful with phone calls to check how I am & also dying to take me out on a shopping spree for bubs!

Friend have been extra supportive & excited being one of the first to fall preggers... They have been buying me & bubs items such as clothing & books etc.

My brother was also really excited when we told him. He bought me & bubs so much, his GF was so excited too!

So far our experiences have been great but in saying that you can also pick up on the jealous people though...........sad

Feel free to share your experiences.

IT depends when we have told people - after 12 weeks and everyone is over the moon. Before 12 weeks (I always bleed!) people are very happy but cautious too because they don't want to go over the top but they are still very supportive. I have found most friends are happy though I do make sure that if someone if trying to have a baby too or they have suffered a loss then I tell them quietly in provate before the big announcement so they can deal with it first.

I know just after I m/c in Nov last year 2 of my friends announced their pregnancies. One did it by text and I was shattered cause I was so happy, then get this text and it messed me up for a couple of hours. The other friend rang me personaly just to make sure it was all okay. It was fine and I am very happy for both.

I would say that most peoples reactions to any pregnancy is more about their own agenda .ie how wll it affect them? I know that sounds terrible but I don't mean it that way!

I'm the first in my group of friends too - and everyone is very excited for me, but they don't really understand much about what I'm going through - i.e. why I'm so tired, and don't really feel like catching up as much. But it's nice that they are happy for me.

My parents and DHs parents are thrilled - bubby is the first grandchild on both sides, so they keep wanting to buy us stuff. Not that I'm complaining...lol.

My parents and little sis are THRILLED! My older sis is ambivalent (nothing new there) and most of our friends and other rellies were like "really... was that an accident?... are you happy about that?..."

we got that a little too "was it an accident & are you happy " as we never really shared with anyone that we had started trying & i guess that i also fell the same month we started trying which i guess was very lucky for both of us not having the stress of trying for years.
