    How old was your toddler....

    When they started dressing themselves?

Sarah is nearly 3 and some mornings I go in to get her up and she has half the clothes from her wardrobe on!! sure things are back to front and inside out but she has tops on the top and bottoms on the bottom. She knows that the tags on her knickers go at the back.

My 5 yr old was prob dressing herself at 3 yrs.
My now 3 yr old wants to have a go, but struggles with tops.

Its getting clothes OFF they all have problems with - zippers, buttons, heads stuck in tops, topples over with taking off pants...so while i think i have one job done (clothes all on), its the clothes all off at the end of the day which is now the prob...!!!!

Claire is just turning two, and she can put on her pants, LOL. She has a bit of trouble pulling the pants over her nappy (MCN) sometimes though so she usually needs help with that. She can put on her shoes too, sometimes on the right feet sometimes not.
Shirts, she cant put on properly. She gives it a good go though but normally she ends up with the neck hole around her waist or if she does manage tog et her arms into the arm holes usually the shirt is on upsidedown. Its very cute!
She loves trying on all her clothes while she is having rest/quiet time. lol I go in there later and she has heaps of clothes out.

DS can put his pants and his shoes on, but that's it LOL. Dressing himself entirely seems a long time away

DS is 2 and needs a little help in dressing himself, but usually just to get his top over his head. He undresses himself really well if I put the wrong outfit on him. He gets in a muddle over socks and trousers are a struggle, but he tries and does really well. He can do his own coats and hats too, but his shoes (lace up shoeboots) are a bit hard and he asks me to help.

DS is a fashionista though, so of course he's advanced in clothes when they're the biggest thing in his life LOL.

Nowhere NEAR mastering the socks yet though lol know how they should go on but cant quite figure out the stretching them over her feet buiso! lol

My DD is 3 in May and at present she loves to put on her own shoes ... obviously can't do up buckles but yes velcro is easy for her ... she gets upset if i go to help

Also she likes to choose her own underpants & put them on herself ... though at times 'both' legs in one leg hole & wrapt around her waist tightly, LOL

She likes to put on jewellery just before we leave the house ... and asks for her sunglasses & sunhat ... So sweet !!!

DS isn't interested in wearing clothes (apart from shoes - he always brings me his shoes to put on). If I would let him be a nudie all day (just wearing shoes), he would be quite happy

2 and 3 I used to encourage them every day to TRY and dress themselves from about 1.5 years so it took a while. Jaidan wasn't good with fine motor skills like buttons but now they both have that down pat.
