Cool Can a pregnant lady do me a favour?

Ok i have a kind of silly request.....

Could anyone who is say past 17 weeks who may still have a preg test laying around do one and see if it comes up positive??????

A bit of backround- I am still bfeeding ds (6months old) and dh and i have not been using any form of contraception as we will be stoked for another bub to come along anytime..

Now, since having DS i pretty much got my figure back fairly quickly, until lately, when i have noticed i am getting a bit of a tum (dh has noticed too!!) Now other than that i have no real signs other than about 3 months ago i did have a week of feeling sick and throwing up- but i put it down to food poisening as a friend who ate the same thing was also sick- but not for as long.

I did a pregnancy test which came back negative- but then as i was reading a few posts on here someone mentioned that the hcg levels drop once you get past a certain stage of pregnancy- and therefore i am wondering if i am already getting a tummy (assuming i am preg and not just fat!! lol) that i may be passed this stage where the hcg is no longer present and therefore i would get a neg on a HPT..

Now i know i could probably just go to the dr, but i dont want to seem like a tool- so i was hoping one of my fellow bb buddies could help me with this experiment and if i see that a preg lady can get a neg test, i will be straight to the dr!!

    Thanks in advance!!

Well I took a test recently, maybe around 33 weeks because I wanted to take a photo of the "positive" sign as I didn't even think to do that when I first tested 7 months ago! Anyway, I guess the bad news is it came up positive straight away and the line was very dark. I'm sure it's different for everybody so I'd go to the docs just in case. Good luck!!

Umm.. SB - hate to tell you this mate - but even when I was 27 weeks with DS I peed on a stick (for a friend - she wanted to know what the line was supposed to look like) it came up just as strong as it did when I first peed on it at 6 weeks.

    Sorry mate!
    Get thee to the docs

PMSL, it must be a 6 month thing, I'm getting a more of a tum as well, I was flatening down, now I'm ballooning out again. And unless I'm Mary its just a podge

I had less belly 2 weeks after giving birth than what I do now 8 months afterwards. Pretty sure mines just podge. God I hope it is.

Sorry darling - but you will have a huge HCG at 17 weeks. The HCG levels off but it doesn't drop. I would say AF may be coming...

I tested just last week cause I found two pg tests. Apparantly your HCG is quite low in the third trimester. There it was, two lines, so dark and bold, and came up within microseconds.

Wow and I thought my body was strange at around 6 months!! It seems a lot of us podged up around then! I was able to wear my prepreg jeans before that then I couldn't!! Of course now I can't but for well quite obvious reasons!

SB, how you get a BFP soon!!

blame the podge on BB! Since BF I sit here on this computer reading threads, then Ashton finishes feeding but I am only half way through my new threads! So I sit here a bit longer then before I know it an hour has past! So I blame you all!

Hmmm. I think I might get another one then. As per usual, I just knew I was so got one of those "early detection" ones, but the line is so faint that DH didn't believe me that it was positive. I like having a nice deep positive one for the baby book.
