Does anyone know who I am supposed to talk to. Its driving me insane.

I called the QLD BDM originally and they told me the 2 year marriage thing. SO hubby and I celebrated out 2nd Anniversary on January 26th, and I call them again and they say ... "No, because you live in NSW, you need to speak to them"

So I call NSW BDM. "No, because the children were both born in QLD you need to speak to them"

Seriously - does anyone know who is telling the truth? As it is I have an appointment with Legal Aid down here to get DH medical rights on the kids - which thankfully wont be too hard because XH sighed away his parental rights 8 years ago (via settlement). But While it and a name change would probably be enough to cover the actual up front details, the kids would prefer a full adoption. I do hope NSW is right and I need to speak to QLD, because its like 10 times more expensive in NSW, not to mention the hoops. Holy hannah, DoCS have to come and work out whether or not we are good enough for my DH to adopt my own kids. Whats with that?

With my sisters accident recently and the fact that her son was so close to losing his leg before they finally accepted permission for surgery from his aunt, I don't want to leave this stuff to chance. Its just frustrating that apparently because my kids were born in QLD, but I live in NSW, it can't be done.
