My bub was born in March and I had these awesome stretchy wraps. I found the only muxlin I had to be too small for anything bigger than a newborn. I got my wraps from Kmart and were given some other non stretchy ones from Target, these were also good.
I think wraps are great, DS hated them at the start and would struggle like mad to get out of them, but after some sleepless nites and nap times I tried it again and he loved it.
I think you will definately want some
They are mega handy. The bigger ones are best - 120cm x 120cm. You may use them for day sleeps if you have some warmer days or if bubs is wearing a really warm jumpsuit or something.
I had a summer bub, but this one will be winter. I am planning on using them.
ETA: That's if I can convince DD to share, LOL! She still takes a wrap to bed with her to cuddle
Yep. DS was born in June, and I used them. I would wrap in the muslin, then put DS to bed under a sheet, and a couple of cotton blankets. DS liked the thinner wrap. I also had a couple of stretchy knit cotton wraps which DS liked too. Oh and some flannelet wraps, which we made from spotlight flannelet, and I used those on the really cold days.
I used muslin for my DD from birth until about 6 months when we stopped wrapping her and she was also born in March. Muslin is great because it is breathable and we then could adjust layers on top or what she was wearing. I actually wrapped her with muslin over the top of a sleeping bag in the middle of winter. The bigger the better is the rule with wraps!
I had a September baby here in Tassie so it was COOOOLLLLD and snowy and stuff.
I just brought a proper baby blanket, you know the ones with one side fleece the other side cotton? Like a basinette blanket Muslin wraps I found useless for anything other than spew rags.
