I have put a Mothers Choice Urbane 3 wheeler pram on layby. I went back today to make a payment and check out the display model again and realised the tyres are NOT the inflatable type. The pram has the big wheels you normally see but they are made from a soft rubber (but not hard plastic like on strollers).
I chose the 3 wheeler pram because I expect to be going for walks around my neigbourhood and there are no footpaths at all on my street.
So my question is, do you think these kind of tyres are any good? The positive side is that at least they won't go flat! Has anyone had these kind of tyres on their 3 wheeler? I've never used a pram before so am a complete novice!
I have them on a huge 4 wheeler twin pram, and they are really good. They are exactly like what a fully inflated normal tyre is and they never need to be topped up. I dont use the pram much any more because DD1 can be trusted to walk, and I think DD2 will be nearing the readiness to walk when DD3 is born, But it is an excellent walking pram.
ive brought the exact same pram for the same reasons...ive been told that the wheels on them are better then inflatable for the reason of they go down really easy and these wheels dont need to be pumped up...
Oh good! I was kinda worried that I might have done the wrong thing and that the soft rubber ones may have been rubbish compared to the inflatable ones as other people I know told me I MUST get inflatable (which I thought I had!). But from what you girls have said, they should be fine. Thanks, now I feel so much better about my purchase!
