Anyone able to breastfeed an older baby in the Hug A Bub?

Hi, I really love my hug a bub but have never been able to figure out how to breastfeed without getting DS out of the carrier. We have an Ergo which I can breastfeed him in but I would love to be able to breastfeed him easily in the hug a bub. He is 5 months old and more than 8kg (in size 0 now) so I don't think he would fit in the "peapod" hold any more. Is it possible to feed a baby this old in the hug abub?

once my ds got to that age i couldn't bf him in the hab, he was just too big.
we moved on to the ergo at about 4 months i think, and i bf him in that.

Ok cool it's not just me then

Lucky we have the Ergo then I was just wondering because I find the Hug A Bub more comfortable than the Ergo.

Sweetpea do you find a mei tai more comfy than an Ergo?

The ergo is still pretty good though!

    mumiloo,

on the front defintely find the mai tai alot more comfier. and on the back for long time carries the ergo. Though there are so many diferent types of mai tai and i have one that i love for front, side and back carriers that is so comfy and another that is good but not as comfy.

I could never BF in a HAB either. Found it hard, even in the Ergo. I guess my boobs just sit too low I still loooved both carriers, though and can't wait to use them on the next little one.

Sweetpea what type of mei tai do you have (and like)? Maybe I can get another carrier

My son is just getting old enough to do a back carry now but I think I will still like to wear him on the front a lot because then I can see what he's up to.

    mumiloo,

I have a babyhawk and a himmel. I find the himmel the comriest for me but hey are from amaerica and would cost a bit now due to teh exchange rate. google baby carriers down under, i am a memeber there to and I know there are people in sydney who get togehter regualaly (sp) and you can try different carriers on and also there are people who sell there carreirs second hand.

PM me if you need help.
