    Implantation bleeding signs?

Hey Everyone have a bit of a question relating to implantation bleeding, in january my partner switche to a new pill cause she had breakthrough bleed on her other one. She started takingthe pill but realized she was doingit wrong so started again, she also was late taking one, Which she then took and we waited a week and used other protection during that time.

In the 15th of february we became intimate in the shower of all places! Now she was still on the pill & we used the withdrawal method but Im sure some still went inside her. 8 days later on Monday 22 she noticed a bit of brown blood when she wiped. The next day that turned into heavy bleeding and went from brown to dark red. She had some pain but not heaps. This continued till the next day where she was bleeding heavily again, redish colour. The bleed stopped on Thursday where it went to a red/brown colour.

She was due her period on Saturday but so far it has not come. She is not experiencing her period symptoms, stomach ache and sore breasts. Does this sound like implantation bleeding? We are not trying to get pregnant hence why she is on the pill. Any thoughts would be much appreciated everyone!

Neo I experienced implantation bleeding with this pregnancy. It was brownish red & only lasted 1 day, was not heavy at all. This was 11 days after conception. I didn't have any pain or any period symptoms whatsoever with it. So this is different to what you're saying happened to your girlfriend.
Maybe what your girlfriend experienced was a period, possibly her cycle is out of whack from the pill changes? But I am not an expert & in my opinion she should do a pregnancy test to make sure, because if it was an implantation bleed she would be able to get a positive result by now.
    Hope this helps!

the weird thing is that not once since we have been together has she not bleed during her supposed bleed week on the pill. its very weird that it would happen especially as she had that bleed last week..is it possible that it is implantation bleeding and she is pregnant, or is the unlikely

Ok so a bit of an update. She went thru the whole period week whilst on the pill with no symptoms of soreness and cramping and did not bleed. So now she has finished her pill and is waiting to get another so at the moment she isn't taking the pill.

Today she has been feeling like her stomach is really sore and in pain to the point of where she can't breathe. So with her bleeding 4 days before her period was due, not bleeding during her period and now experiencing pain after her period does this show signs that we may be pregnant?

It sounds more to me like she might just be having strange periods as a result of all the changes with the pill etc. As someone else suggested, best to take a pregnancy test to put your minds at ease.

    Good luck

If your on the pill and you suddenly stop taking it or miss the active pills for a couple of days or take it at different times of the day you will get a withdrawal bleed, which is basically just your normal period. This is because of the hormones that the Pill contains and how it works within your body. It also works in the opposite in that if you skip the sugar pills which don't contain as much of the hormone needed then you can also skip your period. Implantation bleeding is very light, if your worried though you could always do a home pregnancy test or see your GP.
