Hi girls, just wondering if it's better to get a handbag style nappybag, or backpack style nappybag for use with a Hug-a-bub? Or if either is just as easy to use... I'm not planning on getting a huge nappybag, just something large enough to carry the basic essentials.
I love my 'stuff it' bag. IT is only about $20 and fits lots in it and it is light. It goes accross your body and I have used it with DS in the pikkolo. I am going to buy an ergo backpack though.
I would buy a nappy change wallet, a stuff it bag and a 'normal' backpack.
Taht way you have all situations covered. All you really need from a nappy bag is maybe an insulated pouch for bottles which you can buy separately and maybe a nappy change pad. I like my large 'fridge to go', great for his food at daycare.
I have the GR8x Nappy change wallet and it clips on to either the stroller handles or around the stuff it bag but does make it bulky.
It all depends how much stuff you will need to take with you. Will you be driving to a shopping centre so will be able to have a bigger bag in the car and just the basics or do you plan on leaving from home with bubs in the carrier.
I guess I'm hoping for a bag that will be "all-encompassing" that I can use in all situations, whether it be a quick trips to the shops, or a full day out. My main concern was that if I was using a hug-a-bub would it be better to have the backpack style instead of a handbag style because I'm assuming that you wouldn't be able to wear the handbag style with the strap across your chest. Therefore it would limit carrying a handbag style bag to just one shoulder wouldn't it?
I put the strap on first under my sling. That's just me though. I've always used the pram more than the sling, so I wanted one that went easily onto the pram.
A back pack one can still sit in the storage compartment under your pram. It won't be as easy to get to, but shouldn't make too much of a difference.
Mine is a 'Baby Gear' sports style bag. You can get them in back packs too. I recommend them! Mine has 2 insulated pockets. Wet bag, change bag, & about a million pockets!
I don't know what the back pack one is like though. I think it's smaller, but mine was good coz it was big enough for jumpers for us all, over night stays for the older kids etc..
