    Help!! Can't sit still...literally!!

Has anyone else suffered from pain/being uncomfortable while sitting? At the moment I cannot sit still, DH says I am like a cat on a hot tin roof. I am constantly repositioning myself & I just can't stay comfortable for more than a minute. The base of my spine, pelvis & especially my legs are soooo uncomfortable they're almost painful. Doesn't matter what I'm sitting on, couch, computer chair, car seat etc. I'm like this for a few days then I'm okay for awhile, only to have a few more uncomfortable days. It's driving me nuts!! What has anyone else done to combat this?

Try lying on your side on the couch, or bed. You might find straddling a chair (whiskey out, cowboy boots optional) and leaning forward against the back of the chair (how's that for confusing?) might be comfy for a bit longer? But I think lounging is your friend for long periods, to be honest.

Google Restless Leg Syndrome (I think it's called that).

It seems to be more common in pregnancy, unfortunately. I've had a little and it drove me nuts. My best solution was to go for a walk, to at least be moving. Tiring, though.

Same problem here... It's not much fun is it

In my case I have sciatica, which I blame for most of the problems, but it is caused by pelvic instability. My physio says the only cure is giving birth...

Nelle's right, lying down whenever possible is the best thing. I also find sitting on the floor cross legged, or leaning up against a wall, a lot more comfy than any chair, couch or seat...

Thanks for all the speedy replies girls
Yes lying down or moving around is the most comfortable. I was at a party yesterday & everyone kept saying I should be sitting down, all day I had to keep saying I was fine & happy to be as I was
But a fitball sounds like a good idea though, for when you really have to be sitting up.

My restless leg syndrome feels a lot like that sometimes. My legs also twitch a lot at night. I am only at rest when I'm lying on my side with my knee supported. Keeping up my calcium and taking iron supplements has really helped.

I needed to sit on a fit ball at work. It really helped with my comfort. My pains were from sciatica... Hang in there...
