    Red face It's not a dog's name...

    Hi all,
I'd like some opions please. Thinking about girl's names (cause it's more fun than boy's names) what do you think of...

    Daisy?

Dh thinks it sounds like a dog's name but I looove it. Any suggestions for middle names would be appreciated too.

if he was going to think of an animal, you would have thought he'd say it reminded him of a cow not a dog hahahaha.
i think daisy is gorgeous, it sounds very girly and delicate

I think Daisy is a beautiful name!

All of my friends and family are dog people, and not one of them has a dog called Daisy.

Yeah, and Poppy is the other one

I like it, but it's a bit too mainstream for me personally (in that it wouldn't go with any of my other kids names!) But it does conjure sweet and delicate and gentle images!

I love it! I would like it for a girls name but it's my husband's nickname. (Don't ask me where it came from - I have no idea).
I have always loved it. Is your DH thinking of the book Good Dog Daisy? We have it, and it's really cute.

I am trying to think of what what go with it.. Claudia, Mia, Ann. Hmmm not sure about any of those. I'll keep thinking..

I love the name Daisy... I named my second car Daisy and if I hadn't have done that I would have considered it on the list of potential names... I like the "older" names!

Please don't let me calling my car Daisy have any influence... my first car was Betty, second was Daisy and my current car is Cindy

I have to admit that it did pop into my head as a poodle name LOL. BUT in saying that I still think its a sweet name for a little girl.

Just not sure how it would sit on an adult. KWIM?

I think Jamie Olivers kid is Daisy Boo isn't it? Or is that someone else's?

My step-SIL gave her second DD the middle name of daisy and my stepfather certainly had something to say about it!!!

I love Daisy. We used to have a milking cow called Daisy, she was black and white and she had a pink nose and huge long eyelashes. She used to stand at our gate and moo for snacks.

    I loved Daisey

DH said no categorically. I said if I cant have Daisey, then you can't have Seven ;P lol
He had the same concerns as Fi - does it work for an adult...how many high powered execs are called Daisey, or would it look real on a passport, or get flagged lol
Perhaps as a middle name? Then you can call her Daisey, but the world wont have to when she is older?
