Was reading the birth column in our local paper yesterday and came across a newborn baby girl named " LILAC "
I'm not sure if it sounds like a pretty name or of a harder sounding name ... for some reason i'm swinging towards more pretty (i think) !!
Can't say i would use it myself but was curious to know your thoughts on this name ... And has anyone ever come across ' first names ' the same as a colour ??
makes me think of the song 'lilac wine' which I love.
Not sure on it for a name, but I do love Lila.
I saw a Velvet once..mmm i think she lives near you too.
I too actually don't mind it...but could never use it myself (cause I'm a big fan of purple, so it would be a little weird and I would get lots of strange comments I'm sure).
I knew a lady once who's daughters name was Amethyst and I also knew a girl call Onyx too....both I also think sound ok.
It was on our Short list for girl names for Mateauz. I would have had a Vyolett and a Lillak (we just spelt it a bit different) so we thought Khryztel was better...doesnt matter cause we ended up with the franks
I love it too. I think it's lovely, and I think the hard 'c' on the end actually makes it a really good name for an adult, a bit grown up sounding, but the 'i' sound softens it. I think it's cool.
mmm not sure...reminds me of celiac (someone whos gluten intolerant i think??)
we are gonna call our girl Jade even though i hate green lol
and ive met an ebony
