Hi,
I've used the Midwifery Practice Group with one of my pregnancies and found them great. I'd give the hospital a call, they should have given you an appointment at your last visit. I think it is around 6mths when you start having regular visits but not sure, was 11yrs ago now. Don't stress, give them a call.
Hi Claudia. I have gone with the Midwifery Group Practice in Geelong too. I had my first visit at Geelong Hospital & told them I wanted to go through the MGP. They still made my next appointment at the hospital & said if I hadn't heard from the MGP by that appointments date to call MGP. So 5 weeks later I got a letter saying I had been accepted to the MGP, & that they had cancelled my upcoming hospital appointment. It also said my midwife would call me to set up my next visit. I didn't hear anything for a week so I called the MGP who told me that the midwife I had been assigned to was on annual leave. She did call me but I waited another 2 weeks for my appointment. I too felt like I was waiting a long time between appointments & it did make me feel quite stressed. Now that I've got my midwife I really can't fault the program.
Give them a call to find out what's going on. They are very good at getting back to messages if you have to leave one.
i went there last week, they said now it really short of midwife.so they didnt arrange that so far. i still got to wait and see different midwife, untill they call me. hope will hear from them soon.haha.thank you
