This is probably a dumb question, but i am delerious and over thinking.
If you write the word "country" in a sentence, does it have a capital C?

it is describing a proper noun, but its not the proper noun.
I'm thinking little C, you reckon?
Yep little c.
I am no expert, I just do a lot of reading LOL! I would say use the little "c", it looks right to me and if I was reading something with a capital "C" I would think it was a typo.
Sorry, not a scholarly response![]()
Its a little c becasue you are describing many countries not one particular which would make it a proper noun instead of a common noun.
Actually no I don't think so LOL
oh good, cos i was trying to think of one.
I think lowercase unless it is a title. (Or proper noun, as you said)
