    4 month vaccination side effects?

My DD had her 4 month vaccinations on Wednesday (4 days ago) and she has been really out of sorts. She's not sleeping well day or night, is crying a lot more than usual and isn't feeding as much. Would this be a reaction to the vac and if so how long will it last - I thought it would only be a couple of days?

I'm keeping an eye on her nappies to make sure she isn't getting dehydrated and have given her panadol a couple of times when she's been really upset but I don't think it helped. Is there anything else I can do? Also DH and I have had a cold the last week so not sure if maybe she's picked that up from us - would a cold cause these symptoms?

    TIA!

Aw hun, I'm not sure, but I wanted to offer a hug anyway.

Do you have a GP you could take her to? Does she have a temperature?

A few women in my mothers group said their bubs were out of sorts for a few days after the vaccinations (4 days I think), so I hope DD is better soon.

Ashton's 4 months were the ones that he reacted to the most. The 2 months were fine, the 6 months he had a temp for a day and was a little sooky. The 4 months ones however... temp for 3 days, off colour for 5 days. He was sooky and clingy and just terrible! It did end however

Also remember it is the time of year for bugs She might have just caught one that coincidentally fell around the same time

Thanks for the reply ladies. DD is still out of sorts today so trying to get an appoint at the GP. Fingers crossed she's back to her old self soon.

Was about to post on same issue... DS had his 2nd lot of vacs yesterday afternoon, and during the night got out of sorts. He still is not good now - crying, irritable, hot head, tired etc.
I m not sure how long we should expect it to go for?
    What did your gp say?

    Hi Salsa,

It lasted about a week with us. DD really went off her food but she would drink some water out of a sippy cup so atleast she wasn't dehydrated. When I took her to the dr she had a bit of an infected eye (she's had a blocked tear duct since birth and the gunk went a bit green). She also thought DD might have had a bit of a sore throat which is prob why she went off her food. So not sure if it was related to the vaccs or not, but we're due for her 6 month ones next week so I'm praying we don't encounter the same thing.

Hope your DS gets better soon.
