    Awesome Events in May!

The first is Birth Week in Kallista, from Wed May 27 until Sunday May 31. http://birthweek.org.au/

Sarah Buckley, Rhea Dempsey, Fiona Hallinana and Pinky McKay will be speaking, along with others. This is an absolute gift. It cost $$$ large to hear speakers like this ordinarily - the Birth Week costs are very reasonable. I've been twice and absolutely loved it, I learned so much and got so much out of it. If you are pregnant, this event is just tailor-made for you. If you are pregnant and live not far from the Dandenongs ... well, heaven is smiling on you!

Anyone heard of Gloria Lemay? Some of my all time favourite articles on birth (such as 'Pelvises I have known and loved' and 'Pushing for first time mothers' are by Gloria). Gloria is the main speaker at an event called 'Bringing Birth Back to Women' which will be held at the Hawthorn Town Hall, on Wednesday 13 May. $15, starts at 10 a.m., and is totally baby and child-friendly. Information on Gloria can be found at
    http://glorialemay.com/
Gloria is a Canadian Midwife, Mother and Birth activist who has spoken out on women's issues for the past couple of decades, with Canada having faced many of the birthing issues that women are now about to face in Australia we are very excited to have her coming to our shores to share her wisdom .
Here's an on-line flyer about it.

    See you there!
