MD, bummer about the post, that is very irritating. H and I are peas in a pod! I can't believe how similar we are - I am also a 'wear the first thing I clamp eyes on' person and clothes shopping is an absolute horror for me. I am amazed at how expensive kids clothing is, it is at least $14 for pants and about $17 for tops here, and that is just the starting point for plain things. I have been meaning to ask for ages - did you watch the end of BSG? As a warning - please please don't save the final episode to cheer yourself up!
SupaB, we decided on a closer age gap because I have a 5 year gap between me and my bro and it didn't work for us, whereas DH has 2-3 years between his brothers and they get along well. I know a lot of it is personality of the kids though, so close together/far apart doesn't automatically mean they will get along. Also financially because I am going to be a SAHM until the youngest goes to school I didn't want to spread them out too far, I am already looking at being out of the workforce for 7 years and it is frigging boring sometimes - I wouldn't like to stretch it out longer than neccessary.
Rainy, I was just thinking about Olive this morning. Don't think DH would go for it though. Amelia is topping our girls list atm.
Clare, you could always move over here, your deposit would probably buy you something nice in a friendly small community here. I am feeling less patriotic atm though because it is really bloody cold!

.
Not to mention the expense of it all. No one who can really look after her here for me. Am thinking maybe I should book her in, but then if I'm ok, change the hours so we spend the morning together when I've got oomph and then she can go to care in the afternoon for a few hours - long enough for me to have a proper sleeping rest so I'm functional in the evenign when DD1 and DH are home. Problem with booking care - if I book, I pay.
after treatment kwim? You may deal with it absolutely fine, but it's something you just need to take one week at a time. Do you have someone that can just come to your house to help you out, so at least E is there with you, but there is also someone there to take the burden kwim?
and he's always been lucky and only come away with minor breaks and cuts, but this time he did his knee in gooooood. He had the first lot of surgery yesterday to clean it out and start to mend it with pins, but they had to leave the wound open so it could drain (and the hospital he is in has a terrible record for staph infections so fingers crossed he doesn't pick anything up) and he will need another lot of surgery on Thursday and then they are talking skin grafts. Mum is heading over to see him tomorrow, but I can't get over to see him this week. He's doing well enough though, well as much as can be expected anyway.
