    Question for Ergo users...

    Hi all

DD is 12 weeks and is a big bubba. I've been using the Ergo with the infant insert but lately she's been looking too big for it - her legs hang right down and she just looks squished.

I decided today to try her in the front position but she didn't like it at all. I think her legs didn't feel right, being one on either side of my body.

When did you stop using the infant insert? How did bubs go with the transition? Did it take a bit of adjusting? Did their legs feel a bit funny to begin with?

I never used the infant insert, I started using our Ergo when DS2 was 4 months old. I think it can take a little getting used to for their legs to be in that position. DS2 wasn't that impressed at first, so I started wearing him in it for a few minutes at a time and before long he was happy to stay in it

It is hard to begin with, and you might need to do a kind of "frog leg" to get bubs comfortable. Kind of tuck the legs up rather than around you. Hopefully someone can come and explain it better. I think I used the insert for a bit longer than 12 weeks, but I cant rightly remember now (sorry)...

I'm the same as Trish, I think Miss M was about 4 months when we started using ours so didn't need the infant insert.

Can you try using a thin wrap or something so she is still in the same position, but not as squished?

And then, when you are about to take her off, slip her into the other position for a few minutes at a time to get her used to it?
