A gang of teddies looks nice. A tonka truck, boxes, blocks etc.
I prefer pics without any props but that's just me.
Has anyone done prop type photos at home?
I am sourcing ideas for props for some 6 month photos for Mason.
I managed to buy a gorgeous policeman hat for $2 so I am going now to find some handcuffs and a badge for him
Cant think of anything else though!

Check out ebay Danni. Quite often I have seen huge blocks, big enough to sit up against (or on when he's bigger) and lots of other bits n pieces that professional photographers are getting rid of from their studios.
balls colored balls and a black satin sheet to use as a background
I prefer ala naturale! Taking him outside & watch him inspect the grass etc or down the baech & just let him model as natural!?
i have a huge piece of black fabric & also one of white - think it makes a difference to have a solid background when trying to recreate professional shots - google boy photos or baby ones & you will get some ideas of what to do
A friend of mine uses sheets and towels for back drops.
I also prefer as few a props as possible but one or two fav toys works well. I try to use things that capture the childs personality... and if anyone has any ideas on how to capture the tanty without encouraging her to have one....
Always have the camera with you![]()
How about the good old Santa hat and then you can sit Mason on it with the ball between his legs and put on some ears and you have an easter bunny. Bubble bath, hat and scarf, sunglasses, stethoscope, pick flowers out the garden and let him play with them. We have the most gorgeous photo of Livvy eating a daffodil.
Ask Kirsten if she has any ideas. Good luck gorgeous.
