Recs for a good point & shoot

I dropped my basic camera today, on the lense while it was out, so thats the end of that.

I'm eventually wanting to get a DSLR early next year, but until then i need another basic camera as i take photos every day.

I prefer canon, any recs?

if you just want a basic good camera I would recomend a canon ixus 90 or 85 I have the 85 same features as 90 but has smaller LCD screen as it has a optical viewer my friend has the 90 theno veiwer, also the way you access the features is probably easier with the 90

HTH i am so happy with mine I have always had big bulky panasonic or fuji ones and this one beats them hands downs ecept for zoom flash but ah well it was cheap

Depends how much you want to spend. Before I got my DSLR I had a powershot S3 and that was pretty good.
